Tom Hunter

Tom is a native Californian. He was born in Manhattan Beach and spent his teen years in the San Fernando Valley. His secondary education was in the Los Angeles Unified School District. He earned his BA degree in History and English from San Fernando Valley State College and completed his California State teaching credential and MA in secondary school administration at Cal State Los Angeles. He taught U.S.,World History and English in the Los Angels School District. He was also a 7-9 grade counselor and assistant principal, also in L.A. Unified. He spent the last 10 years of his career in education as the Principal of Lucerne Valley Middle School and High School. Tom is currently a youth leader and teacher at Bear Valley Church and he is part of the volunteer team at Big Bear Middle School.

Tom and his wife Judi have lived in Big Bear Valley since 1995. They have three adult children and two grand children. They enjoy world travel and traveling in their RV.
