A Mobile Science Lab is in the planning stages for our place-based education efforts in Big Bear Valley. We have come to the conclusion that supplies are needed for science experiments and sample collection, and also protection from the elements for teachers, students, docents, etc. This lab will be accessible on the lake shore, the pebble plain habitats and the forest. There may be events where the Mobile Science Lab will allow the Education Trust to provide stimulating activities for visitors along with our students to promote the importance of stewardship and respect for the habitats so unique to the Big Bear Valley.
